NO LEAD MINE MUDGEE
If we fail with the Federal government and the appeal, the EPA licence to operate is our next fight. The more they achieve here gives us more to build on. The survey is quick and easy if you have time
These people are on the frontline of our struggle. Here's some points if you want to help them out.
Communities must be protected against heavy metal pollution and deadly metals like lead should never be allowed in people's air or water.
Reporting of exceedences should be immediate, public and result in operations ceasing.
Communities around the Central West have no faith in EPA ability to protect them and are losing faith even in its desire to do more than find a way metal mining can continue in the face of irrefutable evidence of its devastating impact on communities.
Monitoring should be widespread, independent, and publicly available in real time.
Conditions must be closely monitored and immediately enforced to protect communities from irreversible impacts.
The scandalous failure to have baseline studies must never be repeated. Notional baseline data should be sourced from comparable rural areas to be used at Cadia, not urban, industrial areas.
Review your priorities and practices to ensure that what continues to happen at Cadia never happens again there or anywhere else.
